Mrs. Truss has nine years experience teaching within the Archdiocese of Washington. She has taught 3rd grade, 5th grade, and Science for 6th-8th grades. She has a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Sudies K-8 and a certification in Elementary Education 1-6.
Mrs. Truss is an enthusiastic and caring person who believevs that all children can learn and thrive in a learning environment that is stimulating, comforting, and appropriate to children's abilities. She is committed to creating an environment that inspires children and fosters a love of learning.
Mrs. Truss is a dedicated, resourceful, and goal-driven professional educator with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of every child. She has an aptitude to remain flexible, ensuring that every child's learning styles and abilities are addressed. Mrs. Truss strivs to build student self-esteem and encourage understanding of cultural diversity and physical limitations.
Mrs. Truss is the recipient of The Archdiocese of Washington Golden Apple Award, NCEA Sister Rose Anita McDonnell, IHM Award, and Knights of Columbus Teacher of the Year.
