I am a perpetually professed member of the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma, MI. I have been involved with Catholic education all my life, my mother was a Catholic School teacher and I loved helping in her classroom, tutoring, and teaching Catechism classes when I was younger. I received my Bachelor's in English Literature and my Masters in Education from the University of Denver in Colorado. I also received my Teaching Certification for 7-12 English Literature, as well as an Administrative License for K-12. I taught at an elementary school in Colorado, at an all girls school in Germany, in middle school in Portland, Oregon, and was the principal of a K-8 school as well. My most recent position was as Director of Religious Education for the Diocese of Lake Charles, LA, where I oversaw the religious education for all the parishes, schools, and adult faith formation programs. With 20 years of experience in education, my favorite part is still teaching and being in the classroom with all ages of learners! I have been a Religious Sister of Mercy for 25 years, I love being a Sister and sharing the love of Christ with my students and their families is one of the most important parts of my life. In my free time I enjoy reading, writing letters, and being out in nature.
